Read More…Walter’s wife was diagnosed with bowel cancer and was helped by Cancer Help. Sadly Walter’s wife died in 1996 but he has continued to support the charity ever since.
Read More…Lynda was diagnosed with cancer when she was 46. She found the craft groups at Cancer Help to be a welcome change to the clinical environment of hospital. So much so that following successful treatment Lynda became a volunteer. In 2010 Lynda’s husband was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly he was not as fortunate and died in 2011. Lynda has found the bereavement group to be invaluable support in coping with her loss
Read More…I have worked at the Longridge Shop since it first opened in 1997 and have been in charge for 10 years. Between 2001 and 2007 I lost my husband, my only daughter and my only son. The only thing that helped me through this was my charity work at Cancer Help as it gave me a focus.
