Vine House has helped me enormously. I have met some nice people and find being able to talk with others who share my problems helps me. I wouldn't miss coming for the world.

I have lost two loved ones to Cancer, and without Vine House I wouldn't have coped, or been able to carry on. As well as attending the craft classes I have also benefited from the manicures, massage and counselling, all of which have helped me on the road to recovery.

Coming to Vine House has changed me and allowed me to progress. Each week I come I have learnt new skills; pictures, pillows, patchwork. When I first came  I had to be helped by the tutor, but now my family are amazed at my progress

I did not want to come to Vine House but was encouraged by the District Nurse and now look forward to attending. It helps to share with others who understand; living each day from day, fighting to enjoy a better quality of life. I'm pleased to chat about cancer and though  I know I am not going to get better I do not wish to know how long., but each day is extra and a bonus. The tutor is fantastic and lifts your spirits when you arrive.

I look forward to Wednesday: it's a great help to me. If have any concerns about my cancer, or anything I feel I can talk freely to the friends I have made there and they understand. Also the back up from the nursing staff, if I have any problems, is invaluable as they can contact the professionals involved in my case.

I feel like Vine House is a second home, so I look forward to the craft class to meet up with friends who are happy to be there. We are all the same so we understand each other. My son also had cancer before me, but he never had counselling, which upsets me because he never had the chance like myself. I have also been able to attend a special course for patients established by Macmillan which I have found helpful in controlling my pain and teaching me relaxation

Often when people know that you have cancer they ignore you in the street which makes you feel different.Coming to Vine House has really helped me. Being with others in the same situation is great as you can share the experience, it is wonderful to share.
