Support for You

The CancerHelp team works closely with other organisations providing cancer services, including the NHS and other charities to ensure clients get the best support possible.

Our bases are in Preston and Garstang but the services are open to all cancer patients, their families and carers living in the Central Lancashire area and the Wyre villages around Garstang.

Like cancer, the charity makes no distinction between age,  gender, religion or sexual orientation or identity.

How can you access our services?

Accessing CancerHelp’s services start with a referral. This can be from a Clinical Nurse or GP who is part of your healthcare team or from the Macmillan Team at Preston or Chorley Hospital who may have seen you.

You can also refer yourself directly by

  • telephoning either of our Centres – Vine House on (01772) 793344 or Croston House on (01995) 606469
  • emailing info@cancerhelppreston.co.uk

Cancer Help aims to support cancer patients, their families and carers through the impact of cancer diagnosis, the effects of the disease and the effects of its treatment. To do so the charity offers a wide range of free services from simple advice and signposting to complementary therapies.

Both houses aim to offer services in a non-clinical environment, so that clients can feel that the house is a ‘home from home’.

Support Groups

Our Support Groups are run independently by those who have experienced or are living with cancer. They are hosted by CancerHelp and the charity aims to provide advice and information when members request it.
